Members of the NZ Institute of Management are invited to nominate a member for the NZIM National Board.
Two vacancies have arisen as a result of two Board members terms expiring. These positions will have a tenure of three years and are of a voluntary nature, effective from the 22nd of April 2009. If you wish to have your name put forward as a candidate for one of these positions, please contact the Returning Officer, prior to the 17th of December 2008. NZIM has released its briefing paper for the incoming government. In it NZIM considers the issues in management, education and training. The paper provides an overview of the last three years, and develops a number of recommendations to promote improvements in the formal and more importantly informal training and education of individuals in the field of management.
In the paper NZIM argues, amongst other matters, for a "...simple set of internationally compatible benchmarked standards that apply to all areas of business and management and are assessed on the job." | |
