Rene has extensive international experience having worked and lived in the Middle East, The USA and Europe. In his travels he has narrowly avoided a coup in Sri Lanka, a hurricane in Florida and the worlds largest jail break in Ethiopia. During his career he has been involved in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and his current role is the NZ Country Manager for 42Below Limited. In 2005 he was awarded the Marketing and Sales Professional of the Year for the Sales and Marketing Institute of New Zealand which was a reflection on 42Below Ltd as much as himself. Again in 2006 he won the Marketing Manager of the Year. Since arriving in NZ 2 years ago has set up two companies, bought a Cocktail bar and still feels there is alot more to do. He is currently attempting to complete his degree in Psychology as a part time student. A family man who is an ardent supporter of Arsenal FC, a terrible saxophone player and who lives by the mantra of 'Life is not a dress rehearsal' | |
