She’s a woman you’ll remember; he once built a car out of the parts of a lawnmower. Put the two of these together and you have ABE’S® Real Bagels. This is the story of the passion and commitment that’s gone into making ABE’S® New Zealand’s number one selling bagel. At this Auckland Today Marketing Lunch you’ll hear Marketing Director Megan Sargent share the trials and tribulations that’s got ABE’S® to where it is today – a company that supplies to Foodtown and Woolworths as well as gives away bagels to the Auckland City Mission and helps feed many breakfast-hungry school children. Megan will tell you that back in 1996 the going was a struggle financially – what did they do to grow their business into an organisation that today employs over 30 people, and supplies bagels throughout the country? ABE’S® is committed to leaving as small a footprint on the earth as possible – boxes are re-used several times (until they fall apart) before being recycled. Oh yes - and they're working towards a zero waste policy. While there's a way to go, it's a goal they're keen to make happen. ABE’S® is committed to running a company that cares for its staff, customers and community. At this Auckland Today Marketing Lunch Megan will share with you: - how they got to where they are; - what part branding has played in that; and - where to next | |
