Leading the Sales Force – keeping them happy, and keeping them with you."Most New Zealand Sales Forces are over managed, but under led” So said a friend on return from 15 odd years in senior positions in overseas companies.

His opinion, backed by his astute observations, was that New Zealand managers spent too much tome and energy on giving orders and criticising performances, and not enough on developing people to be self managing, confident, satisfied employees who felt they had a personal stake in their company and their job.

At this breakfast, we will look at the best practices from here and overseas which have been successful in motivating and encouraging salespeople to give their best, seek to improve on that, and gain satisfaction and career progression without having to change companies.

The speaker will draw on practical experience as a consultant and sales educator, as well as translating current research and thinking into practical interventions which any sales manager or supervisor can use.
