2008 President - Phil Edmondes-Rowe, TNS Ltd - Hi – I’m Phil and this is my third year on the Sales and Marketing Institute Board. What we all want to do is to continue the great work others havedone so, for my part, I’m taking on the mantle of education and creating affiliations with other similar organisations around the world (so you can enjoy additional benefits if you have clients or customers overseas). This year we hope to develop and increase our educational courses, and create world recognised certifications. Phil_Edmondes-Rowe.JPG
Aside from the SMI, I work in a research organisation called TNS where my role is to look into the data to see marketing advantages for our clients – then to create the strategies and market tactics for them both here and overseas. I’m also on the board of an IT company and run an international consultancy, so I’m usually fairly busy. But when I do have some spare time, I like to give vent to my artistic side and take photographs which I then change into individual pieces of art work. It’s fun and it gets me out in the fresh air, and soon I will be exhibiting them so that’s a little adventure in its own right! Phil.Edmondes-Rowe@TNS-Global.co.nz www.tns-global.co.nz
Brett Miller Hi, I’m Brett Miller and I have been involved in the wonderful world of sales for nearly twenty years. I have worked within the NZ and UK markets with such organisations as Unilever, Huttons Kiwi, DB Breweries, Bass Brewers, Frucor and currently with EBOS Group. Throughout the years I have held most roles in sales from Repping, to Sales Management, to National Sales Management and now as a Business Unit Manager. In addition to my sales skills I also have a Post Grad Diploma in Marketing Management and enjoy ensuring that both Sales and Marketing disciplines work hand in hand and assist each other to grow the business. I am proud to be part of the S&MI board and look forward to assisting in many areas over the next year. A key area I will be focussing on will be increasing the awareness of “Sales” as a career. Looking for opportunities to assist and increase tertiary recognition, ways to attract the next generation as well as awards and recognition systems that reward excellence in the NZ sales industry. Thank you in advance for your support and look forward to meeting you over the coming months.
